''ForumSpark'' is a free forum host that was founded by Jamie in 2023. Originally inspired by the now defunct free forum host called [[Zetaboards]], it has evolved to be it's own platform.

==Roadmap==
Originally opening it's doors in 2023 by Jamie, Cedric has taken over the platform in 2026 and has made numerous changes to the platform. Gamification was added in the form of awards that users can obtain by being active on forums. Additionally the ability to add widgets to the index was added as well as a few other quality of life features. Unlike some free forum hosts such as [[Proboards]], ForumSpark allows members to request a database backup with plans in the future to make it easier for forum admins to obtain backups via the ACP.

==Other Key Features==
ForumSpark has added a global login system, similar to Proboards. With a simple click users can easily join other ForumSpark hosted forums. A directory also exists for ForumSpark, and shows which forums are the most popular in terms of posts and members. Multi accounts have been added as well, making ForumSpark a good contender for roleplaying forums where in the past most of these forums were hosted on [[Jcink]].

==Why The Forum Wiki Exists==
This wiki exists because forums are slowly becoming less popular as social media and chat clients are taking over the internet. Despite this there are numerous people throughout the world who still prefer to use forum scripts to power their communities in an age where big tech is taking over. We also want this wiki to be a nice reminder of the yesteryear of the internet when forums were the place to communicate with like minded individuals and to remind those that some scripts are no longer around.

==How You Can Help==
If you know of any forum script that is not listed on our wiki, feel free to create a new page! The easiest way to create a new page is to make an edit on any non protected page, and post a word with two brackets at the beginning of the word and the end. This will attempt to link a page that is not on the wiki by our wiki software, and you can create a page from there!

XMB - eXtreme Message Board - was originally started in 2001, and went dormant around 2007. The community subsequently picked it up and continued maintaining it. The latest version is 1.10.00, which was released on the 19th of September, 2025.

It is the only known software that has two separate admin groups, with the root admin group being "Super Administrators" and a subgroup called "Administrators." Super Administrators gain access to the software's [[Admin Control Panel]], which allows the user to control every aspect of a XMB board. Administrators do not have access to every feature in the control panel. They must be moved to the Super Administration group in order to gain access.
