FluxBB was founded in 2008 as a fork of PunBB citing the need to keep it free of commercial interests, after the original founder left that project.
The last major release was in 2018, though maintenance commits are visible in the GitHub repo from 2021.
The project used to have a website at fluxbb.org but this is not working as of November 2023.
