ForumSpark
ForumSpark is a free forum host that was founded by Jamie in 2023. Originally inspired by the now defunct free forum host called Zetaboards, it has evolved to be it's own platform.
Roadmap
Originally opening it's doors in 2023 by Jamie, Cedric has taken over the platform in 2026 and has made numerous changes to the platform. Gamification was added in the form of awards that users can obtain by being active on forums. Additionally the ability to add widgets to the index was added as well as a few other quality of life features. Unlike some free forum hosts such as Proboards, ForumSpark allows members to request a database backup with plans in the future to make it easier for forum admins to obtain backups via the ACP.
Other Key Features
ForumSpark has added a global login system, similar to Proboards. With a simple click users can easily join other ForumSpark hosted forums. A directory also exists for ForumSpark, and shows which forums are the most popular in terms of posts and members. Multi accounts have been added as well, making ForumSpark a good contender for roleplaying forums where in the past most of these forums were hosted on Jcink.
